During my travels in Italy this year, my digital
camera (Canon Powershot S110 Digital Elph) is never far from my
side. It has been one of the best investments I have ever made,
and I am still learning how to take better pictures with it.
I have created the following mini photo albums for the
benefit of friends and family who have that internet service provider
that refuses to transmit the images I send with my email travel
updates, and for those who wish to see more photos of my travels
than I can squeeze into reasonable-sized emails.
Design notes: I downloaded all photos into iPhoto from
the camera, used iPhoto's editing tools to make minor color
corrections, exported photos chosen for these mini-albums from
iPhoto, and used Dreamweaver's Create Photo Album command
to generate the thumbnails and larger-sized photos pages automatically.
I then used Dreamweaver to conform the look of all the pages
to match my web site design and to add JavaScript commands
to open
the photo albums in a new window.
