Project:
Redesign, modernize and expand members-only
section of web site of a Rome-based cultural organization, A.C.
Scala Reale,
using
a
design
style
that would
be distinct from, yet complimentary to, the public portion of the
web site.
Role:
Sole designer and developer of entire site and page templates,
based on preliminary design and organizational concepts of client,
using
Dreamweaver,
Fireworks and Photoshop (the latter primarily for preparatory design
sketches for client review and approval). All content provided
by client.
Challenges faced:
Solving issues with Dreamweaver templates
that arose when updating complex navigation bars containing drop-down
menus
developed in Fireworks; creating simple and elegant solutions for
the presentation of large amounts of textual information on certain
pages, via subnavigation elements (anchor links) that did not conflict
with overall site navigation.
